Rik Pugh has been involved in the financial
service industry as a Registered Investment Advisor
(RIA) for the past fifteen years. He is a retired
U. S. Marine Officer with 25 years of service.
He has a Masters Degree in Business (MBA), is
a Principal and registered representative of
Financial Security Management, Inc. and is a
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®),
Registered Financial Consultant (RFC). Rik is
a member of the National Association of Financial & Estate
Planning TM (NAFEP) and holds the designation
of Certified Estate Advisor (CEA). Rik also holds
licenses for Life, Health, Long Term Care and
Medicare Insurance in NC and VA,
and has completed several intermediate level
and advanced tax preparation, investment and
insurance planning courses.
He has dedicated his career to furnishing a
full range of services and products with a proven
performance record. Thorough and innovative,
he meets the needs of successful professionals,
business owners, and retirees. Rik's areas of
expertise include: the design, implementation,
and administration of wealth accumulation plans,
and retirement and estate planning strategies.
Integrity, professionalism and dedication have

in the community. In September of 1997, he completed
a two year term as Chairman of the Health Education
Advisory Council for Onslow County Schools. He
has been awarded the “Hall of Fame Contributor” award
from the Chamber of Commerce “Bases” Program.
He is a member of Rotary International and Gideon’s
International where he serves on various committees
and holds a variety of offices. Rik has also
lectured extensively to both civic and professional
groups and provides financial planning seminars
throughout Eastern North Carolina. Rik also teaches
Certified Financial Planning Preparatory Courses
at the Cameron School of Business, University
of North Carolina (Wilmington)
