CHARLES JENKS EARNS CHARTERED ADVISOR FOR SENIOR LIVING (CASL)

Jenks One of the First Professionals in the Nation to Earn This Distinction

Newport News, VA - November, 2006 - Charles F Jenks, Senior Vice President of Financial Security Advisory, Inc.; Financial Security Group, Inc. and Financial Security Management, Inc. Member, NASD/SIPC. He has earned the Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL) professional designation from The American College, Bryn Mawr, PA.

Candidates for the CASL designation must complete a minimum of five courses and 10 hours of supervised examinations. They must also fulfill stringent experience and ethics requirements.

The CASL program is considered the most comprehensive curriculum available that addresses the unique financial needs of seniors. Once the program is completed, a Chartered Advisor for Senior Living can provide expert advice on a broad range of financial topics including health insurance, long term care financing, pension planning, trusts, Medicare and Medicaid supplemental planning, financial and estate planning, and more.

Charles holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in business, and he is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) as well as a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). He specializes in protecting the savings that senior citizens have built over their lifetimes, enabling them to attain their dreams of a comfortable retirement. His expertise also includes the design and implementation of long term health care plans that protect family assets. He is equally versed in tactics to help families build wealth, plan for college expenses and achieve long-term financial success.

A talented and caring advisor, Charles lives in Yorktown, Virginia with his family. He is an avid boater and a past commodore of the Seaford yacht Club. He is currently the Vice Commodore of the prestigious Virginia Yacht Club.

The final award, the Chairman’s Award for Volunteer of the Year, went to Guy Manchester of Financial Security Management. This is the Chamber’s most prestigious award that can be given to a volunteer. The Chairman of the Board takes on the task of selecting from a long, significant list of member volunteers an individual who has given countless hours to numerous programs and projects during the course of the past year. Manchester has donated hours of his time to the Chamber by serving as Vice Chair of Marketing, leader of the Peninsula Business Network, a member of the Chamber's Board of Directors, and presenter of the most popular seminar, "Smart Women Finish Rich®" which was encored a half dozen times due to popular demand.
